Beware of “Disable or Remove Facebook Timeline” Scams! Unfortunately, there is no way to change your Profile back after you upgraded it to Facebook Timeline. You can't remove it once you try it.
Being aware of this despair, scammers are taking advantage of it by posting scam messages on Facebook indicating how one can disable or remove the Facebook Timeline completely.
There are clear evidences that indicate that there will be no way to go back to the old Profile on one of its Help Center pages.
“We’re rolling out the new profile to everyone slowly. If you don’t see it yet and would like to upgrade early, click here. You will not be able to switch back to the old design after upgrading.”
On another page, Facebook addressed this issue more specifically:
Once you switch to the new version of your profile, you cannot return to the previous version. Upon switching, you will have the option to take a brief tour of the new profile so you can easily locate your favorite features and learn about the new profile features that are available.”

So, there is no way to take it off. You are stuck with the timeline format from now on, and everyone else is being converted to timeline anyways until Facebook decides to implement a new layout again. Therefore, the best option you have is to get used to it.
